Marking the first-ever collaboration between the Jordan Brand and a professional BMX rider, this September 2018 release gives Nigel Sylvester from Queens New York his very own Air Jordan 1. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG x Nigel Sylvester is the resulting homage, and it’s sick. Cream leather detailed with a worn aesthetic of mimicked scuff marks, a nod to the natural scuffs and abrasions that would result from mastering tricks. Nigel Sylvester has been delivered an excellent pair of Jordans here, one that quite brilliantly bring us onto the edge of the half pipe, and might even give wears the impression they have been landing the same tricks Nigel Sylvester has made his name from. A yellow treatment is applied to the white leather upper to provide them with a broken-in aesthetic, and the lateral Swooshes are deconstructed to look like they’ve been ripped off with the bright white leather showing underneath. All of this entwined gives us an epically cool Jordan, and should definitely be in your thoughts for the second half of 2018.
